Poland: Legia Warsaw players attacked by their own fans.

Legia Warsaw lost a crucial match on Sunday in the Polish top-tier and their fans were not happy.

The team lost 3-0 away to Lech Poznan, and were reportedly attacked by their own fans after the game.

According to Przeglad Sportowy, one of the leaders of an ultras group walked onto the team bus after the game, and asked the players to get off the bus. Once they got off the bus, they were attacked by around 50 fans.

The players were reportedly slapped on the face and on the back of the head in an attack that lasted around ten minutes. Some of the backroom team were also attacked by the fans.

Threats were made to the players that similar incidents will happen again, if they perform the same way. The team currently lie in eighth place in the Ekstraklasa. Last season they finished in first place, winning their 12th title and fourth in five years.

None of the players received any serious injuries.
