UEL: Hooligan attacked goalkeeper

Serbian goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic was punched in the face in a shocking fan attack during Sevilla’s Europa League defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

Dmitrovic was only introduced to the Sevilla line-up at the last minute after regular No. 1 Yassine Bounou was unwell prior to the match.

However, it backfired for the attacked, who has seen being suppressed by the Serbian stopper.

Dmitrovic was pictured holding down the fan, before being pulled away by a combination of PSV players and Sevilla teammates. The fan was eventually escorted off the pitch.

PSV were 2-0 victors on the night thanks to goals from Luuk de Jong and Fabio Silva.

However, the Dutch side were still eliminated from the Europa League owing to a 3-2 aggregate loss.
