Wisla Krakow – Widzew Lodz
Sunday, 09 March 2008 10:53

It was our first home match after winter break. We were waiting for Widzew fans, which are one of the best in Ekstraklasa. Everyone were waiting for the inauguration match with great rival (in supporting, because in Ekstraklasa Widzew is on 13th place with 18 points and Wisla is on 1st place with 51 points). It was cold, windy and raining whole day. In TV, radio and press everyone talked about the Emma hurricane which were coming to Poland. But about 14 000 fans didn’t afraid the hurricane and came to see this great battle with the supporters elite in Poland: Wisla-Widzew. This was our first official match in our new curva And day of testing new place for our capos:

After 25 minutes we saw the first Widzew fans going into their sector. But something was wrong, security only let in about 150 Widzew fans and about 550 away fans were standing out of the stadium because security said they wasn’t on the list which they got from Widzew (in Poland when you go on away match your club must make a list with personal details about those who travel) and they couldn’t come in. When we saw Widzew had trouble to get into the stadium we started singing: “ Let in Widzew, hey whores let in Widzew!” , “Football is for supporters!” but last 20 minutes of 1st half we saw only 150 Widzew fans:

In the solidarity with the fans which didn’t enter to the sector the 150 fans who were inside the stadium left their sector during half time. 2nd half we started to sing the same chants like in first half (about let in Widzew and football  for fans). We also started to sing against our board: “Don’t have fans in the ass, let in Widzew!” and than:  “Without Widzew we won’t sing” and we stood with our back to the pitch:

Our board made us crazy… they didn’t let in fans which travel to Krakow hundreds of kilometers, so we started to walk out of our own stadium in respect of the away supporters.

Rest of the match (about 30 minutes) our curva was empty and our players played without support. It was completely silence in the stadium.

We hope this situation never will take place again in the future. Some people must understand that football is for fans not for money and VIPs!

Tifo-work:
Here is our “big fan”-tifo step by step:

First one of the ultras made a picture with the conception:

Than they painted the same on the biggest size and cuted it out:

Those who made this painted it all by themselves. They did a tifo without graffiti painters help. They also hang the man under the roof without alpinists help. They came to the stadium few hours before match to test the tifo and be sure that everything will work.

Here it is tested 2 hours before kick off:

With other fans help our ultras made a great show on the Reymonta 22 Street.
