Sports have always been a big part of our lives. Whether you play a sport, or just enjoy watching them on TV, they have huge entertainment value.

And as with music or theatre, seeing your favourite source of entertainment live is always ten times better. Nothing beats the atmosphere and excitemen

t brought on by being in a crowd of like minded people.

But it’s not just the game itself that brings the excitement, some of the stadiums themselves are incredible to see. Even if you don’t go and see an actual game, doing a tour around the stadium is an awesome experience that isn’t to be missed.

With that in mind, let’s look at some of the best stadiums to visit in the US.

Best stadiums in the US

  • Madison Square Garden, New York

One place that everyone will know the name of (even if they don’t realise that it’s a sports stadium) is Madison Square Garden in New York City.

It’s well known for hosting huge music events and all the big names have played there. Everyone from Elvis Presley to Taylor Swift has played at this stadium. Rolling Stone magazine named it the venue of the decade but we would argue that it’s the venue of all time.

But it’s also a very popular sporting stadium. It’s actually been around since 1879 so it’s one of the oldest stadiums that is still hosting events in the US. Madison Square Garden is home to the New York Knicks and New York Rangers - teams that are also known across the globe.

If you’re in New York, you need to visit if you have the chance. Nothing beats seeing a show or a match in the most well known stadium in the US.

  • Las Vegas Strip Circuit, Las Vegas

This one isn’t strictly a stadium but it’s too good to miss. If you’re ever in Las Vegas and want to take a short break from playing Slingo Slots to see something incredible, the Strip Circuit is the place to go.

It’s brand new for the 2023 Grand Prix so it’s got everything you could want from a Grand Prix track. The Grand Prix Strip Circuit is located right next to the Las Vegas strip so it’s right in the middle of the action.

The track goes past the world famous Caesars Palace, the Bellagio hotel and the Venetian hotel - it could double as a sightseeing tour!

  • Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta

The Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta is one of the most impressive stadiums in the US. This stadium opened back in 2017 so it’s still relatively new - especially in comparison to Madison Square Gardens.

This is shown through the technological capabilities of the stadium as it’s by far one of the most advanced in the country. It has a roof that opens in a circular motion - something that is rarely seen elsewhere. This was apparently inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, a structure that the stadium was in the works to be named after.

The stadium is home to the Atlanta Falcons, one of the most famous teams in the National Football League. It’s also home to the lesser known Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer.

  • Wrigley Field, Chicago

Wrigley Field in Chicago is the perfect stadium to visit if you’re a baseball fan. It’s over one hundred years old, opening in 1914, so it’s got a whole load of history behind it already.

This stadium has some unusual features such as the ivy covered walls on the outside. Back in 1937, the stadium went through some renovations by the owner of the time P. K. Wrigley. He suggested that they make the stadium more pleasing to look at and suggested covering the walls in ivy.

This tradition continues to this day however, they’ve had to adapt the ivy species to one that can survive the bitter cold winters in Chicago.

  • Fenway Park, Boston

Another incredible baseball stadium to visit is Fenway Park in Boston. This is the oldest active ballpark in the US so it’s full of rich history and world famous baseball moments.

It’s been the home of the Boston Red Sox since 1912, ever since the day it opened. You won’t find a team more loyal to their stadium than that. Despite being the second smallest baseball stadium by total capacity, it has hosted the World Series 11 times - with the Red Sox winning 6 of these titles.

It’s pretty wholesome as stadiums go with its dedicated team and fanbase. You can do a tour of the stadium and learn all about the history of it as well as brushing up on your baseball knowledge.

There are many amazing stadiums around the US, but this is definitely the cream of the crop. Which one do you want to visit?
